Roll up your sleeves for the Canadian Blood Services’ Interior Drive For Life

September 12, 2013

Canadian Blood ServicesJoin the Okanagan campus’ Partners for Life team in support of Canadian Blood Services’ annual Interior Drive for Life.

The latest challenge pits Kelowna against Prince George in a race to find 152 first-time donors and 1,856 blood donations. The challenge runs until October 31, 2013.

Two group bookings for Okanagan campus faculty and staff have been organized for October 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Partners for Life team is looking for current team members and new recruits to fill a minimum of 50 spots over the two weekends. The Kelowna Blood Donor Clinic is located at 103 – 1865 Dilworth Dr. (across from Orchard Park Mall).

The clinic is open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for those who would like to donate but are unable to make it on October 5 or 19.

To participate in one of the group bookings, contact Okanagan campus representative Warren Brock at 250-807-8601. To find out more about donor eligibility, call 1-888-236-6283.

If a single donor can save lives, imagine what an organization can do.
