A lunch-hour media information panel featuring members of the Okanagan news media and UBC’s own top Okanagan campus newsmakers.

Find out from those in the know what makes for a good news story, feature piece, or broadcast interview. Discover what the media looks for in a story and what makes news. Hear anecdotes and tips from colleagues experienced with reporters, producers, and videographers.

  • Kent Molgat, Okanagan Reporter for CTV News
  • Chris Walker, Host of CBC Radio’s Daybreak South
  • Nancy Holmes, associate professor in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies
  • Christopher Schneider, assistant professor of sociology in the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences
