I am delighted to announce that our new Chief Librarian at the UBC Okanagan campus is Heather Berringer. Heather is well known to most of you and she is well versed in the needs of our library environment, having served as Deputy Chief Librarian as of July 2012, and also having experience with the duties of Chief Librarian on our campus.

Prior to her arrival at UBC Okanagan, Heather was the Director of Canadian Sales for YBP Library Services, where she was responsible for management of corporate strategy and resources at the national level for North America¹s largest provider of print and digital monographs and library technical services to academic libraries. She previously served as Reference Librarian at Carleton University in Ottawa.

Please join me in welcoming Heather to her new continuing role as our Chief Librarian.
