On April 30, UBC Okanagan will host its fifth annual student digital media exhibition.
The exhibition features 22 short documentary films by undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Jessica Stites Mor’s Digital Media and History: Filmmaking for Activists and Scholars course.
This year will include documentaries on subjects including the local drag scene in Kelowna, the impact of globalization on labor in the global south, the rise of ADHD diagnoses, migrant farmer’s rights, and the ‘return of the salmon’ in local indigenous culture.
This year’s event is open to the public. It will be hosted on April 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Arts Building Atrium.
