Sarah Maryschuk selected as the 2014 Create Orientation Coordinator

Sarah Maryschuk

Sarah Maryschuk, 2014 Create Orientation coordinator

A warm campus community welcome to Sarah Maryschuk, third-year English student and this year’s Create Orientation Coordinator.

Maryschuk has worked previously in the AVP Student portfolio as a Kickstart assistant, leading a group of out of province students around the Okanagan campus and the Kelowna area. Her new position compliments her previous experience as she will now focus on making sure all new-to-UBC students feel welcomed to campus in September.

Her new role will keep her heavily involved in all the planning for this year’s Create New Student Orientation in September and the Week of Welcome events that occur throughout the first week of classes.

Members of the campus community can contact Maryschuk about Create event ideas and volunteer opportunities, new student concerns or any program ideas related to the first week of activities in September. Sarah can be reached at 250-807-8632 or sarah.maryschuk@ubc.ca.
