UBC Faculty of Education explores learning innovations with visiting scholars
The Faculty of Education at UBC’s Okanagan campus is bringing together scholars, practitioners, and students to learn and talk about innovations in teaching and learning in the eighth annual SMARTinEducation Summer Institute in Education.
The weekly series will promote community conversations on current issues in education and explore the theme: Multiple Pathways into Mindful Learning.
“We are delighted to feature esteemed guest speakers from across Canada,” says Leyton Schnellert, professional development coordinator in the Faculty of Education. “We want to engage the public in leading-edge topics which promise to provide thoughtful insights and provocative ideas on the future of education in British Columbia.”
Each of the Wednesday presentations takes place from 12 to 1 p.m. in Room 0050, Engineering, Management, Education Building, 1137 Alumni Way, UBC’s Okanagan campus, Kelowna. The talks are free public events. Paid parking is available.
