Discovery, connections, success at the heart of new extended orientation program

August 18, 2014

Spark extended orientation program

Spark — a new extended orientation program — will be launched on September 8.

Spark is for new Okanagan campus graduate and undergraduate students and complements programming already offered during Create orientation and Welcome Week.

Programming will be broken down into four thematic weeks: Health & Wellness (Sept 8 to 14), Involvement (Sept 15 to 21), Academics (Sept 22 to 28) and Diversity & Equity (Sept 29 to Oct 5).

Spark provides activities and opportunities for students related to the three-pillar model of student success: student support, program affiliation, and campus affiliation.

Spark is a collaborative effort between Campus Life, the AVP Students portfolio, the College of Graduate Studies, and the UBCSUO. If you are interested in getting involved or have an event you wish to add or highlight during Spark, please contact Greg Mather (gregory.mather@ubc.ca).
