Between now and December 16 when you pay the first $30 of any parking fine, you may pay $30 of the remaining balance in food donations.
Each non-perishable food item will be valued at $2 and can be used to pay your escalated parking fine amount.
For example, $30 plus 15 food items equal $60 towards your parking fine.
All donations will go to the UBC Okanagan Food Exchange. All non-perishable items are welcome, but the items needed most are:
- Pasta
- Rice
- Quinoa
- Canned soups, meat and vegetables
Expired items will not be accepted. This program applies only to tickets that are 14 days or more past due.
