Leading up to the 41st British Columbia general election on May 9, 2017, election signage is now in full display around Kelowna streets.
The City of Kelowna regulates election signage under the City’s Election Sign Bylaw and permits election signage on City property along public roadways. Election signage is not permitted on private property, including the university campus, without owner permission.
The University of British Columbia is a non-partisan entity and does not grant permission for posting of election signage on University property. Any election signage found on campus is removed by Facilities Management.
