UBC Okanagan courtyard setting for Opera Under the Stars

Opera Kelowna and UBC partner for open air, mid-summer evening concert

What: Opera Under the Stars
Who: Opera Kelowna presents a concert featuring the cast of Puccini’s La Bohème at no charge
When: Wednesday, August 2 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: UBC Okanagan’s central courtyard, outdoors

Some of Canada’s best talent will gather for an evening of performances as Opera Kelowna opens its 2017 Summer Opera Series with Opera Under the Stars, organized in partnership with UBC.

Opera Under the Stars returns to UBC Okanagan, Wednesday, August 2 for the third year in a row. The free open-air public concert by Opera Kelowna presents the world-class cast of the August production of Puccini’s La Bohème. UBC Okanagan’s central courtyard provides the ideal relaxed and picturesque setting for a summer evening of opera and entertainment.

The public is invited to bring picnic blankets or chairs and find their favourite spots around the courtyard. The event is free, but online pre-registration is required at: www.eventbrite.ca/e/opera-under-the-stars-tickets-35345490313. Parking for the evening is complimentary.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, including a selection of wines from Quails’ Gate Winery, beer, and soft drinks, along with some gourmet food options.
