Watch for on-campus route detours in coming weeks

August 9, 2017

UBC Okanagan road work areas -- Aug to Nov 2017

A new transit exchange is under construction on campus for completion in early September 2017. The project is the result of a partnership between the Government of Canada, Province of BC, UBC and the City of Kelowna.

Please follow detour signage for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists along Alumni Avenue and University Way from August 14 to September 1 to allow for construction of the new transit exchange.

Fall lane closures on Alumni Ave.

UBC will be expanding its underground district energy pipe infrastructure in September to support development of the Innovation precinct and campus master plan.

One lane will remain open to traffic on Alumni Avenue during construction from approximately mid-September to mid-November 2017.

More details on the lane closure will be provided closer to the start of construction.

For information about on-campus construction activity, please contact the Facilities Management department at 250-807-8213 or facilities.ok@ubc.ca.
