What: School of Engineering Community Open House
Who: UBC Okanagan’s School of Engineering
When: Saturday, November 4, from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Where: UBC's Okanagan campus, EME (Engineering, Management, Education) Building
The public is invited to learn about the many educational programs and opportunities available within the School of Engineering by visiting the school’s second annual Community Open House Saturday.
Professors will be on hand to talk about faculty research and industry collaborations, while students will offer lab tours and insights to what they are learning. Current students will also share details about their co-op, travel and employment experiences and club opportunities.
Visitors can learn about undergraduate programs, research activities and student events within the three program disciplines offered at UBC Okanagan (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical). The school has also organized an opportunity for high school students to meet and talk one-on-one with female engineering undergraduate students and faculty members that afternoon.
