Canvas workshops and drop-in sessions

June 18, 2018

Canvas logoUBC will be completing its transition from Connect to Canvas as its learning platform for delivering online course content by September 2018. The last day to access Connect will be August 31, 2018.

This summer, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has organized a series of drop-in sessions to help faculty members successfully transition to Canvas.

Drop-in sessions

If you have any questions or require assistance to export Connect content and import it into Canvas, attend one of the CTL’s Canvas Drop-in sessions.

These sessions take place Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in SCI 253.

Faculty members can also ask for help by emailing the CTL Help Desk prior to August 15, 2018.

Workshops

Do you feel comfortable using Canvas to teach for the winter session? Are you curious about the functions within Canvas?

Get a head start on preparation for your September courses by attending a CTL Canvas workshop.

These workshops help faculty members explore the most important features and tools found in Canvas so that courses can be easily created, moved or re-created. Check out the complete list of workshops covering various topics ranging from Getting Started on Canvas to using Canvas Integrated Multimedia Platforms.
