Ways to get involved with Thrive

September 17, 2018

Thrive logoPlay a role during this year’s Thrive Week by hosting an event or activity that supports mental health literacy through the Thrive 5: moving regularly, sleeping soundly, eating to feel nourished, helping others and connecting socially.

The Okanagan Thrive organizing committee is hosting two partner-planning meetings on September 19 from 9 to 10 a.m. in room ART 112 and on October 3 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in room ART 202. If you’re interested in learning more about hosting an event, contact thrive.okanagan@ubc.ca. If your department or unit would like to host a Thrive event, register at: ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0CWfwBDf9OfbUnH.

Faculty members can also highlight Thrive in the classroom. And everyone on campus is invited to be a promotional partner.

Want to volunteer for this year’s Thrive Week? Consider being a Thrive Ambassador. Individuals are needed to lend a hand at events and disseminate Thrive and mental health literacy to attendees. Training is provided to everyone participating. To sign up or find out more, visit: forms.ok.ubc.ca/thrive-ambassador-sign
