Prepare your dependent child for UBC admission

November 5, 2018

When a dependent child progresses from high school to post-secondary education, it can be an exciting, overwhelming and confusing time for you and your child.

Deciding on which post-secondary institution to attend can require extensive research, review as well as comparison and personal reflection on values, interests and career possibilities. It is also important to understand details such as the application process for the institutions that make your list.

Faculty and staff who are parents of children thinking of attending UBC are invited to attend a UBC Undergraduate Programs and Admissions information session on November 28 to learn more about the university’s student application process and timelines.

The focus of this session will be on undergraduate studies. Graduate or professional programs (e.g. law, medicine and dentistry) will not be discussed.

Date: Wednesday, November 28, 2018
Time: 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Location: University Centre Ballroom, room UNC 200

Note: This session is open to UBC faculty and staff. Spouses of employees are not eligible to attend unless they are also UBC faculty or staff member.

To find out more about this session, contact Student Recruiter-Advisor Anthony Dodds at anthony.dodds@ubc.ca.

Tuition waiver support

UBC supports the wellbeing of you and your family by providing tuition assistance for eligible courses. Depending on your employee group and appointment details, your dependent child may be eligible for the Tuition Waiver Benefit.
