Food Services employee referral bonus program

August 3, 2021

UBCO Food Services is looking for talented second cooks to join its culinary team

UBCO BCGEU staff members who refer qualified candidates by August 31 will receive a $100 Orchard Park gift card* for each cook hired as a thank you.

To refer someone please answer the following questions for each candidate to the UBCO Food Services email ubco.food@ubc.ca with the subject line “Employee Referral”:

  • What is the name of the person you’re referring?
  • How do you know them?
  • Why do you think they’d make a good fit?

For more details about the employee referral bonus program, please contact Food Services at ubco.food@ubc.ca.

Also, don’t forget to visit food.ok.ubc.ca/jobs regularly for new openings.

*The $100 gift card is a taxable benefit and is issued when the referred employee has been with the department for 60 days from their start date. As noted, this referral program is only eligible when referring a Second Cook and no other positions at this time.
