Thompson Rivers University and University of the Fraser Valley have a leg-up on total participants in the new Alive! program, but staff and faculty members at UBC’s Okanagan campus still have time to meet the challenge while improving their health and decreasing their cancer risk.
Alive! is the new wellness program being offered as part of the Be Well at Work research project. Designed to help improve diet and physical activity by making gradual changes, Alive! works by suggesting small weekly goals that are tailored to participants’ current eating and physical activity habits and preferences.
Once registered, the program takes less than 10 minutes per week to measure progress and access program resources. Participants are also eligible for prize draws.
