Learning Services Librarian Sarah Stang received the Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year Award at the recent Spirit Awards ceremony hosted by the United Way of the Central and South Okanagan-Similkameen. Stang is the UBC Okanagan Campus United Way Campaign Chair, and led the campaign to surpass its $50,000 target this year with more than $55,000 raised.
Spirit Awards are presented to those volunteers and organizations in the community who have put forth an exceptional effort on behalf of United Way during the annual campaign, mostly in workplaces but also honoring amazing Volunteers and Leadership Donors.
