The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is pleased to announce the National Scholar Award recipients for the 2015-16 season.
With just Heat cross country and Heat golf competing in the CCAA the percentage of UBC Okanagan student athletes eligible for this aweard is limited. For 2015-16 there were 24 student athletes competing in the CCAA and 14 of them were national scholars.
The National Scholar Award is designed to recognize the outstanding academic accomplishments of CCAA student-athletes. To be recognized, a student-athlete must achieve honours standing at their institution in the current academic year. From last year’s 94 CCAA member-institutions 870 student-athletes were awarded the prestigious honour in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
Since 2004-05 the Heat have had 191 National Scholar Award winners. View complete list.
