Pedestrian overpass now open

By Natalie Ingram on October 16, 2018

The new John Hindle Drive pedestrian overpass

The new John Hindle Drive pedestrian overpass is now open, allowing people to conveniently walk or cycle from UBC Okanagan directly to the Academy Hill neighbourhood south of campus. The overpass can be accessed just south of the Reichwald Health Sciences Centre.

Minor works such as painting will continue along the path this week. Pedestrians and cyclists may experience minor delays or be temporarily rerouted along Upper Campus Way while the works are completed.

The temporary pedestrian trail along the south side of John Hindle Drive is no longer being maintained. For your safety and convenience, please use the overpass or Upper Campus Way for all pedestrian access to UBC Okanagan from the Academy Hill neighbourhood.
