Chef Mathew Morazain returns to Kelowna Farmers’ Market

June 22, 2011

Cooking demonstrations a popular event

One of the finest chefs in the land will be trading his kitchen for the surroundings of the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market this Saturday June 25.

Award-winning chef Mathew Morazain will be cooking up some tasty treats as part of the University of British Columbia’s Continuing Studies Culinary Showcase.

Morazain will conduct his cooking demonstrations from 10 a.m. to noon at the UBC Continuing Studies booth. Recipe cards will be handed out and people can learn about the variety of summer courses being offered through Continuing Studies at UBC’s Okanagan campus.

Morazain is a strong proponent of buying local, and everything he uses in his recipes and demonstrations can either be found at the market itself, or purchased locally.

The market is located at Dilworth and Springfield roads and is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
