Undergrad works chosen for international printmaking exhibit

October 3, 2011

Two visual arts undergraduate students have had their work accepted to an international juried printmaking exhibition, taking place in Croatia this month.

Laura Widmer’s and Angela Duclos’ work were chosen from approximately 600 works submitted by professional artists and printmakers to be shown in the 2011 Splitgraphic:  International Graphic Art Biennial exhibition, which runs from October 6 to 30. Only 49 international artists are represented in the final exhibition.

This continues a succession of very successful exhibition submissions from the undergraduate printmakers in the BFA program. Widmer’s work has been accepted to over 15 international exhibitions in the last three years — winning a number of awards along the way — and Duclos has had her recent work accepted to four international exhibitions.
