Men’s volleyball team claims playoff spot
This past weekend was an important one for The Heat as they finished their first season of Canada West league play. Hosting valley rival Thompson Rivers University WolfPack, the men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams played their final regular season games in a weekend full of Heat action.
The Heat men’s volleyball team ended their season on a very successful note on Saturday, claiming the Heat’s first-ever CIS conference playoff spot — a huge feat for a team in its first year of CIS competition.
The women’s volleyball team and men’s basketball teams both traded wins and loses with Thompson Rivers over the weekend.
Next year’s varsity season gets under way in early September with soccer, cross country, and rugby teams in competition.
