New Conference Sales and Services Manager looks forward to summer season

Maaike Ammerlaan, Conference Sales and Services Manager

Conferences and Accommodation would like to introduce Maaike Ammerlaan (pronounced my-kah) to the campus community.

Ammerlaan, started in January as Conference Sales and Services Manager with Conferences and Accommodation. She has a background in marketing and sales in the hotel and resort industry and will be responsible for bringing groups and individuals to UBC’s Okanagan campus from May to August.

Ammerlaan will help arrange accommodations for any group — from planning all the meeting and catering space, to setting up and managing the registration and on-site logistics.

Professors or administrators who want to bring a conference or a meeting to campus in the summer can contact Ammerlaan to help get things started.
