Fourteen counsellors from international high schools are visiting the Okanagan and Vancouver this week to explore and learn about both UBC campuses. The annual visit, hosted by the International Student Initiative, expands the international exposure of UBC to counsellors at major high schools across the globe. This year the group consists of representatives from the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, Kenya and the United Arab Emirates.
The group will receive an overview of all academic programs and a tour of both campuses. This year the counsellors are also meeting with the Kinesiology Everest team along with international students from a variety of programs.
This is the third year this visit is taking place and after each previous visit there has been a significant jump in applications from each one of the schools represented.
