Is there someone in the campus community who knows how to help a student transition into the working world? The Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) mentoring program is looking to recruit women working in careers related to science or engineering to join the program as a mentor.
Mentors will be matched with two to three students who are looking to build their professional skills to compete and work successfully in their future careers.
Throughout the academic year WiSE will be offering a selection of workshops and activities to meet students’ needs and goals. Time commitments for volunteers are flexible other than three required evening events.
The program runs from October to April, with the option to renew the following year.
Applications are due on October 5. Information and the online application form can be found at the WiSE website.
