The Tuum Est Student Initiative Fund has only been in place for a few months, but there are already a number of ways it is helping students do more with their undergraduate experience at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
The fund is eligible to undergraduate students looking to make a local or national impact. A number of applications — which have come from a variety of faculties and undergraduate levels — have already been supported.
Some of the successful applications include:
- Supporting students who have been invited to present or attend academic and professional conferences.
- Bringing a facilitated workshop to campus.
- Help students participate in national competitions.
- Helping purchase equipment for student use.
The applications process for the Tuum Est fund will be open until March 2013.
