Are you up for the Research Rodeo challenge?

Calling all grad and undergrad students!

Research Rodeo 2013Giddy-up to the Research Rodeo stage on March 6 to compete against fellow undergrads or grads for fun, academic fame and great prizes!

The challenge: In three minutes or less, tell the world why your research matters! The clock will be ticking; you’ll have one slide (optional) and your research knowledge and passion to engage the judges and audience in your exciting research work.

Lasso some great prizes! The top three undergrads will be awarded $100 each and the People’s Choice Undergraduate Award recipient will be awarded $50. For grads, the top three students will be awarded $125 each and the People’s Choice Graduate Award recipient, $75. ALL contestants will receive a Research Rodeo t-shirt (Ltd. Edition) as a badge of honour for participating.

Pre-event details 

Event registration opens: Monday, February 10
Event registration closes: Monday, February 25

*Note: The first 12 undergrads and first 12 grad students to register will be accepted; a waiting list will be established in the order that additional registrations are received.

Event day details

Date: Wednesday, March 6
Undergraduate students: 12 noon to 1: 45 p.m.
Graduate students: 2 to 3:45 p.m.
Location: University Centre Ballroom, room UNC200 

Note: on the competition day, each competitor is required to be present during the full competition that he/she is registered in (undergrad or grad).
