How to stay out of the headlines: conflict of interest at UBC

August 23, 2013

Date: Thursday, Oct. 3
Location: University Centre ballroom, room UNC200

Have questions about UBC’s policies on conflict of interest? Need to know more about conflict of interest? Manage staff?

At these short sessions — Christine Hjorleifson, UBC’s conflict of interest administrator — will give staff and faculty an important foundation in understanding conflict of interest scenarios at UBC.

For faculty members, staff, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows

– 9 to 9:45 a.m.
– 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
– 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.

For employees who review conflict of interest declarations and anyone who manages staff

– 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.

All sessions are open to any Okanagan campus employee. Registration is not required. To find out more about conflict of interest and conflict of commitment, visit the University Counsel website.

For those who need a session for an entire department or unit — or those who need a one-on-one session — Hjorleifson will be on-campus on Oct 3 and 4.  Contact her for more information at 604-822-8623 or christine.hjorleifson@ubc.ca.
