Here are some professional development opportunities for faculty and staff at UBC’s Okanagan campus over the next few weeks:

Upcoming ACM training sessions

Active Content Manager (ACM) Training sessions for the fall semester will be offered throughout the fall.

Sessions include an ACM survey review on September 19 (tomorrow) as well as Managing the Digital Asset Library in October and an introduction to ACM in November.

Team-based learning session with Judy Currey

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is hosting a team-based learning session on September 26 with Judy Currey, senior lecturer with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University in Australia.

Currey coordinates the suite of ten critical care postgraduate specialty nursing programs at Deakin and is an expert in team-based learning.

How to stay out of the headlines: conflict of interest at UBC

Have questions about UBC’s policies on conflict of interest? Need to know more about conflict of interest? Manage staff?

At these short sessions on October 3 — Christine Hjorleifson, UBC’s conflict of interest administrator — will give staff and faculty an important foundation in understanding conflict of interest scenarios at UBC.
