“I think I’m gonna like this place!”
“Destination UBC has been one of the best experiences ever! New friends. New home.”
“Falling in love with Kelowna and UBC more every second.”
“It’s going to be so easy to call Kelowna and UBCO home this fall.”
These are just a few Twitter messages from prospective students visiting UBC’s Okanagan campus on May 10 as part of Destination UBC — a new program created by Student Recruitment and Advising.
Destination UBC gives Canadian students an opportunity to visit the UBC campus to which they’ve been admitted. It’s a powerful way to help students make an informed decision in selecting UBC.
More than 475 prospective students had the opportunity to interact and build meaningful relationships with faculty and other students entering the university, experience the beauty of campus and get a sense of community and the support they will experience when they arrive in September.
