Workshops at a glance: October 15, 2014

October 15, 2014

Here are some professional development opportunities for faculty and staff at UBC’s Okanagan campus over the next few weeks:

Social media Community of Practice

Social media has the unique ability to create and strengthen online relationships with our audiences. We use these resources to for teaching, in our research, to collaborate and to communicate the activities of our university community.

The value in social media is in how it’s used. Be creative. Find ways to be even more valuable to audiences — all while adhering to some basic employee guidelines and best practices.

Find out more at the first meeting of a new social media community of practice on October 28.

Date: Tuesday, Oct. 28
Time: 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Engineering Management Education building, room EME4218

To RSVP or find out more, contact Chris Guenard, digital channels communications coordinator, at chris.guenard@ubc.ca or 250-807-9932.
