Fourth-year students of Assistant Professor of Management Ying Zhu’s Marketing Strategy course have spent this term helping 11 non-for-profit organizations gain a better understanding of their brands, customers and marketing strategies.
The students created a marketing plan for each non-profit and will present their summaries on Thursday, March 26, at 4 p.m. in the Engineering Management Education building’s Richard S. Hallisey atrium.
The organizations involved in the project include:
- Kelowna Women’s Shelter
- Kelowna Community Resources
- Metro Community Centre
- Third Space Foundation
- Third Space Coffee
- Reach Out Youth Counselling & Family Services
- Grins and Giggles Child Care Centre
- Eagle Bay Camp
- The House
- Metro UP Financial Asset and Literacy Foundation
- Dig Your Neighborhood
The group posters will be on display in the EME building’s Richard S. Hallisey atrium for the week of March 23 to 27.
UBC alumna Ariele Parker, who was previously in Zhu’s Marketing Strategy Class, is also working on this project to help support non-for-profit organizations.
