The new Intercultural Development Program brings together students from across campus through a blend of workshops and hands-on learning that imparts the perspective and skills needed to live and work within a diverse community like UBC Okanagan.
How does the program work?
After an introductory workshop, students choose from elective workshops and engage in a practical experience that suits their interests and needs.
Participants can look forward to workshops and discussions on power and privilege, media representations and culture, difficult conversations and other related topics.
How to register
Interested students can register online at: students.ok.ubc.ca/international/intercultural/development/registration
Workshops will commence in mid-October. Registration will remain open throughout the fall, however, so students can participate in the program at their own pace.
