Here are some professional development opportunities for faculty and staff at UBC Okanagan over the next few weeks:

WHMIS certification update required

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) was updated in June to help modernize and meet the needs of an increasing global workplace.

Any UBC Okanagan employee who completed WHMIS certification prior to July 1, 2015, needs to take a short online course to be compliant with the new WHMIS 2015 system.

Navigating FMS nQuery for researchers

Finance is running a Navigating FMS nQuery for Researchers workshop on October 21 to help new and current researchers get better acquainted with FMS nQuery. Research assistants and research administrative assistants are welcome to attend this session.

Tri-Council Memorandum of Understanding and eligible expenses

At this session on October 28, Finance will provide an overview of the memorandum of understanding and a review of eligible expenses for tri-council grants. Researchers, research assistants and research admin assistants are invited to attend this session.
