UBC presents ‘Ruth’ sisters in parallel universes

What: The Unfortunate Ruth, presented by UBC’s Creative Studies
Who: Performed by Tara Travis with projections designed by shadow puppet masters Mind of a Snail
When: Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20, both shows at 8 p.m.
Where: University Theatre (ADM 026), 1138 Alumni Ave, UBC Okanagan, Kelowna
Admission: Shows $25, students and seniors $15.

Created and performed by Tara Travis, the hit stage comedy The Unfortunate Ruth brings to UBC’s University Theatre a tale about parallel universes, sisterly bonds, and self-actualization.

Winner of the 2014 Vancouver Playwrights Theatre Centre and Fringe New Play Prize for best original script, The Unfortunate Ruth runs February 19 and February 20 at UBC Okanagan.

The show is part of the FCCS Performance Series and will be followed by huff on March 11 and 12 at the RCA. Tickets cost $25, or $15 for students and seniors and are available at the door and online at theatre26.ok.ubc.ca
