15 Western Canadian finalists present research on April 29
Cheer on FCCS Interdisciplinary Studies PhD student Mike Unrau as he gives his winning three-minute presentation at the Western Canadian 3MT Regional Competition on April 29.
The event, hosted by the College of Graduate Studies, will see 15 of Western Canada’s most accomplished graduate students testing their ability to explain the focus of their research in just three minutes to a non-specialist audience.
Unrau’s thesis presentation “Scared Speechless” was voted best of the eight candidates who competed for top-spot at this year’s UBC Okanagan finals.
The competition is sponsored by the Western Canadian Deans of Graduate Studies and will be live streamed. During the event, you will be able to enter a people’s choice vote either online or in-person. The live stream and online vote will be available at: wcdgs.ca/western-3mt.
