Ever wonder if the cost of healthy, locally grown food is out of reach for those on the lower end of the income scale? Think eating healthy should be more affordable? Concerned about sustainable uses of our agricultural land?

Inspired by research from UBC Okanagan master’s student Ailsa Beischer, members of the community are invited to participate in an event that aims to discuss these important questions and more.

From Field to Fork to Research is hosted by the Central Okanagan Food Policy Council and supported by UBC Okanagan’s Institute for Community Engaged Research, Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences, as well as Interior Health.

The event is free of charge, but registration is required. To register, visit: www.eventbrite.ca/e/from-field-to-fork-to-research-tickets-24267965137
