All parking permits that are purchased via payroll deduction expire this year on October 31 and Parking Services wants to remind all permit holders that the new permits will automatically be issued.
These permits will be for the same lot as the expiring permit. Due to a current lack of available spaces, permit holders are unable to switch to another parking lot.
The permits will be available for pickup at the Parking Services office beginning October 11, 2016, at the new location of the Parking Services office – Kalamalka Residence 123 — near on the corner of University Way and International Mews. Photo ID will be required to obtain all new permits.
Transition to virtual permits
This is the last time that physical parking permits will be issued at UBC Okanagan. Over the next year Parking Services will be transitioning to a virtual permit system and displaying a parking permit will no longer be required for your vehicle.
Until this takes places you will still be required to display your permit inside your vehicle.
In preparation of this, all Okanagan campus parking permits must be linked to the license plate of the vehicle being driven to campus. It is strongly recommended that all parking permits holders check their existing parking account to make sure their current vehicle information is up to date.
To update your vehicle information:
- Visit ok.ubc.ca
- Click ‘Login to Parking Account’
- Click ‘Manage Account’ and login with your CWL information
- Click the ‘Vehicles’ navigation at the top of the page
