Let’s Thrive UBC

September 17, 2019

Thrive logoThis November, UBC celebrates 10 years of Thrive with a month of events and initiatives focused on building mental health.

Whatever your path to mental health may look like, Thrive organizers invite you to join in creating a campus culture where we can talk openly about mental health, feel empowered to explore ways to foster it, and support each other in doing so.

Campus partners are invited to learn and spread your passion for mental health by joining UBC Thrive from November 1 to 30, 2019. Consider how you can be part of creating a mentally healthy and supportive campus environment.

What is Thrive?

Thrive is an annual mental-health literacy campaign that offers students, faculty and staff opportunities to explore pathways to mental health and find strategies that will help them thrive. Thrive does this by promoting the Thrive 5.

How to get involved

You can become a Thrive partner in one of four ways:

  • Plan a Thrive event
  • Promote Thrive to the campus community
  • Highlight Thrive in the classroom
  • Participate in the Not Myself Today Campaign

To find out more, visit: wellbeing.ubc.ca/thrivepartner

To get involved, email UBC Wellbeing Specialists Melissa Feddersen and Amanda Swoboda.
