Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to provide an update on some recent changes in the Provost and Vice-President, Academic portfolio to support the important work underway on anti-racism and inclusive excellence at UBC Okanagan.
I am establishing a new Associate Provost, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism (IDEA) position in my office to lead this work. While the long-term scope of the role is currently under development, it is crucial to continue our progress in a timely manner—specifically on the recommendations articulated within the Inclusion Action Plan and the Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence Task Force Report.
