Dear colleagues,
As we prepare for the start of a new academic year at UBC Okanagan, I would like to provide an update on the many excellent academic initiatives and activities underway on our campus. In this edition of Academic Update, we share inspiring stories about student and faculty success, award recognitions, opportunities to connect with our community and updates on programs, funding and more. I would like to extend a special welcome to the new faculty who are joining us this term. We had the opportunity to welcome them in person this week at a series of new faculty orientation workshops—thank you to the many people who came together to extend a warm welcome to campus.
