A new construction project on Alumni Ave. is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 5, 2013.
This project consists of the realignment of the existing southern crosswalk and the installation of a new pedestrian activated traffic control system. It is expected to last until August 31, 2013.
To accommodate this construction project, temporary closures of Alumni Ave. and parking lot E will be required, as well as the temporary relocation of the bus stops to parking lot E.
From Aug. 5 until approximately Aug. 8
Parking lot E will be completely closed to all traffic to allow for the construction of a temporary bus bay.
During this closure Parking Services and Campus Security advises lot E parking pass holders to park in available stalls throughout the other lots on campus excluding Lot A (in front of the Library building).
Valid lot E lot parking passes must still be displayed when parking in alternate lots.
From Aug. 6 to 30
Alumni Avenue may experience closures to all through traffic in proximity to the pedestrian crossing under construction.
During this time please refer to the traffic management signage that will be posted along campus roads.
Effective from approximately Aug. 8 to 30
Parking lot E will be reopened with revised traffic patterns to accommodate the temporary bus bay.
During this time please follow all posted signage and be aware of surrounding pedestrian and bus activity.
It is expected that normal traffic patterns and parking will resume on August 31, 2013.
