The Faculty of Management is excited to welcome the first cohort of students into the redeveloped Master of Management (MM) program.
The program launched in June 2017 with initial readings and discussions through an online portal, designed for problem-based learning and open inquiry, which will be used throughout the 25-month program.
This collective engagement has prompted the initial questions and perspectives for our first intensive in-residence session, taking place July 17 to 28. During this session, students will be on campus and in the field, engaged with various organizations throughout the Okanagan community to experience and discuss the real-life challenges facing enterprises and regions, and to contextualize and challenge our collective views on management and managing.
The first cohort of students is comprised of a diverse group of working professionals, who bring unique perspectives, experiences and academic backgrounds into the program. Instructors bring a range of disciplines and expertise to the program, coming from UBC’s Faculty of Management, Faculty of Education and Department of Psychology, as well as the KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, France, and Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness in San Sebastián, Spain.
Accessible to working professionals, the MM is a part-time, course-based program, delivered through blended learning.
