November 9 2012 - The 2012 CCAA Cross-Country Running All-Canadians have been honoured at the 2012 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships awards banquet hosted by Champlain St Lambert in St Lambert, Que.
Each award recipient is selected by their individual conference based on their performance and contribution to both their sport and their team.
Alex Bussières, Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy
Alex is an intense runner who placed second at the RSEQ provincial championship.
Andrew deGroot, St. Clair Saints
Andrew's performance is credited with lifting the profile of the St Clair Saints squad in a very short time; he is the 2012 OCAA Championship's individual silver medallist.
Kieran McDonald, Red Deer Kings
The former high school champion was named team captain in his rookie year and also has an excellent academic record.
Dany Racine, Vulkins de Victoriaville
Dany's leadership qualities extend beyond impressive running times; the hard-working team captain encourages both teammates and opponents, and he's co-founded a local running club.

Roy earned individual bronze and team silver at the 2012 RSEQ championship. She trains over 20 hours a week and dreams of competing in the Olympics.
