The Faculty of Education is pleased to be a contributor and participant in the Penticton Herald-Kelowna Courier Okanagan Spelling Bee on February 18.

Lynn Bosetti, dean of the Faculty of Education, believes in the transformational power of education. She supports programs like the Okanagan Spelling Bee, which open new horizons of meaning and possibility for young people.

In January, students from Grades 4 to 8 throughout the Okanagan competed in preliminary spelling bee contests. The winners are advancing to compete at the regional finals at UBC's Okanagan campus.

The finals will take place on Saturday, February 18 at 1:30 p.m. in the Administration building theatre (ADM026).

This event is open to everyone and is part of the Postmedia Canspell National Spelling Bee program.
