Bear sighting on UBC's Okanagan campus

Campus Security reports an early morning (1 a.m. Friday) sighting of a black bear on Alumni Ave. near the UBC Okanagan campus bus stop. The bear moved into the wooded area adjacent to Parking Lots F and H, north of University Way, and has not been seen since shortly after 1 a.m.

Safe Walk re-launched this month as a Campus Security program

Need an escort around campus? Safe Walk is now a 24 hours per day service for the Okanagan campus. Campus Security is now coordinating all Safe Walk activities and the service will be offered every evening until midnight by Safe Walk student escorts.
