Two cyclists from UBC’s Okanagan campus community are preparing for the Ride to Conquer Cancer on June 16 and 17. To raise funds benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation, Brian Heichert from IT, Media and Classroom Services, and Prof. Paul Shipley from the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences, will ride their bikes 320 kms (200 miles) in two days. All donations will go toward patient care and cancer research.
Heichert and Shipley will have an information table in the courtyard on February 9 and they invite everyone to stop by, learn about the long ride and consider pledging your support.
