Applications for Global Seminars now open

Go Global is offering faculty members the opportunity to take students overseas to a location that connects with your course content.

Global Seminars range in length from three to eight weeks and take place between May and August. Flight, accommodation and meal costs are covered by the program budget and faculty members negotiate with their department head or dean how the seminar affects their teaching load.

These seminars have been taking place from UBC Okanagan since 2012. They have taken students to Romania, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Ghana, Tanzania, Costa Rica and Japan. Typically, five Global Seminars take place each summer and are open to most disciplines.

To participate or find out more, visit: students.ok.ubc.ca/global/outgoing/global-seminars/for-faculty.

The deadline for applications is July 1, 2015. Feel free to connect with the Go Global office (goglobal.okanagan@ubc.ca) if you have any questions.
