UBC Okanagan 2017 Holiday Hours

A variety of services on campus will operate with adjusted hours (and some offices will be closed) during the coming holiday season.

Bookstore

December 25 and 26 – closed
December 27 to 29 – open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
January 2 – 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
January 3 – 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
January 4 – 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
January 5 – 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
January 6 – 11:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
January 8 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
January 9 to 12 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
January 15 – return to regular hours

Online store pickup in ADM 115

December 27 to 29 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
January 2 to 4 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
January 5 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
January 6 – 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
January 8 and beyond – store pickups

Campus Rec and The Hangar Fitness Centre

December 20 to 22 – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
December 23 – 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
December 24, 25, 26 – Closed
December 27 – 1 to 5 p.m.
December 28 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
December 29 – 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
December 30 – 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
December 31 – 10 a.m. to 12 noon
January 1 – closed
January 2 – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
January 3 – return to regular hours

Campus Security

Campus Security patrols and dispatch will operate through the holiday period.

December 22 – closed at 4 p.m.
January 2 – back to normal hours (open at 8 a.m.)

Dispatch will be open 24/7 with a Security Coordinator on call and two security guards available at all times.

Central Receiving and Mail Services

December 22 – closed at 3 p.m.
January 2 – back to normal hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Closed December 25 to January 1 (inclusive). Any concerns can be sent to natalie.ingram@ubc.ca.

Facilities Management

Facilities Management services will operate at a reduced capacity through the holiday period.

December 25 to January 2 – Facilities dispatch will be unavailable

During this time, you can contact Campus Security (non-emergency) at 250-807-9236 for Facilities Management matters.

Finance Operations

December 22 – closed at 4:30 p.m.
January 2 – reopens at 8:30 a.m.

Food Services

Holiday hours will vary by Food Services location.

Health and Wellness Centre

December 22 – closed
January 2 – reopens at 9 a.m.

Library

Up to December 18 – open 24 hours
December 19 – open 12 a.m. to 10 p.m.
December 20 to 22: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
December 23 – closed
January 2: reopens from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
January 3 – regular hours resume

Parking Services

Parking Services is open regular business hours except for Friday, December 15, when hours will be 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.

December 22 – closed
January 2 – reopens at 9 a.m.

Student Housing & Hospitality Services

December 23 – closed
January 2 – reopens at 8:30 a.m.

From December 23 to January 2, residence advisors will be available around the clock each day. To reach an advisor, call 250-317-9064 or email residencelife.ok@gmail.com. The main desk number is 250-807-8050.
